Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering

The School of Engineering at Fairfield University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Electrical Engineering.

Primary responsibilities for the position include: Developing and maintaining a nationally recognized research program; publishing in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings; obtaining sponsored funding in support of research programs; teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework in electrical engineering and computer engineering (depending on expertise of applicant); advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students; serving the profession through involvement in professional societies and engaging as an active member of the University community.

Required qualifications: Doctoral degree in a relevant area of electrical engineering must be completed by the time of appointment; evidence of research/scholarship; ability to articulate a coherent agenda of research or scholarship and to identify potential funding sources to support such research; some level of teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
