Dean of the Barton School of Business and Professor The dean reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the Barton School of Business. The primary responsibility of the dean is to advance the academic quality and stature of the School. This requires a visionary and dynamic leader who is committed to building sustainable support, enhancing the reputation and programs of the School, and promoting a culture of excellence and growth. The new dean will be charged with advancing the mission of the School and academic units within the School and collaborating closely with the community to enhance the research and technology transfer capacity of the Barton School and University.
QualificationsMinimum Education (Required): *Distinguished record of success in the academy and/or business commensurate with appointment at the tenured, full professor level (candidates with an academic background must possess an earned doctorate or equivalent). Minimum Experience (Required): *Prior success in leading and expanding a major initiative, program, department, college, or business.
Physical Job Requirements: Normal office environment; may need to walk across campus for meetings in all types of weather. Will be speaking with individuals either in person or on the telephone.
