Assistant Professor, Associate Professor Applied Cultural AnthropologistResponsibilities of the position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in research design, methods, applied anthropology, and area of specialization; developing external funding to support an active applied research program; and contributing to the department and university through service activities.
QualificationsAt time of application candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in anthropology with a focus in cultural anthropology; show evidence of research supported by external funding; and show evidence of scholarship in applied cultural anthropology through peer reviewed publications, project reports, and/or program evaluations. The successful applicant will receive the appropriate rank and title based on university and department established standards.
Preferred: Preference will be given to candidates who can show evidence of excellence in teaching and experience mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate students in applied research projects.
