Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Digital Journalism - Program Chair

The University of Windsor, Centre for Inter-Faculty Programs, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Digital Journalism at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing on July 1, 2014. The position is subject to budgetary approval.


The successful candidate will possess:
PhD or equivalent in Journalism or in another related discipline by date of appointment (Communication, Political Science, or English preferred);
Professional experience in journalism (broadcasting, print, online);
Demonstrated expertise in the range of current digital and web-based technologies used in contemporary journalism;
Relevant management or administrative experience;
Relevant teaching experience at the post-secondary level; and
A record of both relevant peer-reviewed scholarly and professional journalistic publications.

Candidates who are ABD must provide a letter from their supervisor confirming defence date. PhD must be completed prior to the start of the appointment.
