Dean, College of Science and Technology

The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking applicants for the position of dean in the College of Science and Technology. The dean is the academic and administrative leader of the college and reports to the provost.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in a STEM area or closely related field and credentials sufficient to be considered eligible for appointment to the rank of full professor and the awarding of tenure in the College of Science and Technology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a strong record of commitment to research and scholarship. Successful applicants must be proven leaders with broad vision, strong team-building skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple constituencies and to lead advancement activities on behalf of the college.
