Coordinator, Research Programs/Services ChemistryThis position aims at supporting faculty research and teaching in the Department of Chemistry and the University. Primary responsibility is the upkeep, maintenance and user training of all departmental instrumentation. This includes but is not limited to; MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer, 400 & 500 MHz NMRs, LC-MS, GC-MS, GC-FID, UV/Vis and UV/VIS/NIR spectrophotometers, fluorescence / luminescence spectrophotometers, FTIRs, TGA-DSC, polarimeter, CD spectrometer, RAMAN spectrometers, vacuum pumps, and a variety of HPLCs. Serve as the chair of the Departmental Instrumentation Committee.
QualificationsA Master's degree in Chemistry or closely related field and 2 years prior experience in instrumentation use and maintenance is required.
