Associate Professor Open Rank For Molecular Bioscience

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Portland State University (PSU) invites applications for an open-rank faculty position in the Molecular Biosciences. This appointment will be made in conjunction with occupation of a new Collaborative Life Sciences Building
(CLSB) to open in early 2014. The successful applicant will work in a highly interdisciplinary and inter-institutional
environment that will be focused around the biomedical sciences as a joint venture between PSU, Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU), and Oregon State University

Qualifications

We seek an exceptional faculty member pursuing
innovative research focused on the application of
bioanalytical, biophysical, chemical biology or genomics/proteomics approaches to study
fundamental problems in molecular or systems biology. Particular areas of interest include, but
are not limited to, signaling and biochemical regulatory networks, mechanisms of cellular
proliferation, metabolomics, membrane biogenesis and transport, and the discovery and
characterization of macromolecular assemblies. Minimum qualification: Ph.D. in Chemistry,
Biology or related field.
