Organic Synthesis - Faculty Positions (2) In Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY), has launched a major program expansion. This year, we are seeking two outstanding individuals to join our newly established Institute of Neurodegenerative Disease Research. Broadly trained synthetic organic chemists with an interest in any neurodegenerative disease research area are strongly encouraged to apply. Appointments may be at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.

Qualifications

Ph.D. from an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization
Strong productivity
Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
At the Assistant Professor level, preferred candidates will have completed productive postdoctoral training and show promise as independent externally-funded investigators. At the Associate Professor level, preferred candidates will have demonstrated a significant and continued trajectory of publications, external funding and successful mentoring.
