Assistant Professor, Political Science (international Security)*

The Political Science Department at the University of Nevada, Reno is soliciting applications for a tenure-track, full-time appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of national or international security, with a research specialization in cybersecurity. The position is part of an emerging cross-disciplinary, campus-wide initiative in the area of cybersecurity. The initiative includes a newly proposed Cybersecurity Research Center and applicants will be expected to be active participants and contributors to the center once it is established. Applicants should demonstrate potential for research publication and a strong potential to attract external funding. The selected applicant will be expected to teach at all levels of the curriculum (lower division undergraduate, upper division undergraduate and graduate MA/PhD).

Qualifications

Applicants must have the Ph.D. in hand by August 15, 2014 for appointment as an Assistant Professor.
