Assistant Pprofessor Analytical Chemistry

THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY, SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY announces a tenure-track position in ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY at the assistant professor level with the appointment beginning Fall 2014. Preference will be given to applicants with background and research interests complementary to existing strengths within the department, particularly in the general area of analytical chemistry as related to the chemical life sciences (bioanalytical, biophysical chemistry, etc.).


The successful candidate is expected to develop a robust research program and teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) students. External funding and independent scientific productivity are expected. A Ph.D. degree in chemistry is required and postdoctoral experience or equivalent is strongly preferred.
