Professor/ Department Head Engineering Technology

The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University (OSU) seeks nominations and applications for the position of Professor and Head of the Division of Engineering Technology. The Division of Engineering Technology at OSU offers four B.S. degree programs in Engineering Technology and one M.S. program. The bachelors of science degrees include Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Fire Protection & Safety Technology and Construction Management Technology. The masters of science program is in Fire Protection and Safety Technology. This position provides leadership and direct management of the Division and reports to the Dean of Engineering, Architecture and Technology. The programs in the Division of Engineering Technology are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET)


Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate strong communications and relationship-building skills with students, faculty and alumni. Demonstrate strong administrative and financial management abilities. The successful candidate must qualify for appointment as a tenured Professor of Engineering Technology. The Division of Engineering Technology has 17 tenure or tenure-track faculty members, with student enrollment of 749 B.S. students.
Candidates are sought who have an earned doctorate and national reputation in engineering technology or a closely related field; a distinguished record of teaching and leadership in an appropriate area of technology; an interest in advancing educational programs at the undergraduate level; a record of leadership in professional societies and interaction with industry.

The successful candidate must qualify for appointment as a tenured Professor of Engineering Technology
