Assistant Professor School Of Art

The School of Art confers accredited degrees in Fine Arts (BFA and MFA in Fine Arts), Art Education (MA in Art Education), Art History (BA and MA in Art History). Undergraduate students in Art History and Fine Arts may elect to participate in the Art Education PK-12 teacher licensure program which adds a fifth year of study to the BA and BFA programs. Students in the school may also elect to participate in the School of Art's Museum Studies Certificate Program. There are approximately 380 students in the School and 22 full-time faculty and 8 part-time faculty.

The School of Art is one of four schools in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. The College boasts outstanding studio and classroom facilities in support of the schools' programs and activities within an integrated building complex designed by Peter Eisenman.


Minimum Qualifications Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Position Qualification:

As determined by college or department MFA, 1 year teaching experience at the university level with knowledge of Art/History in the context of contemporary art practice.
