Tenured And Tenure-track Mechanical Engineering All Ranks

Applications are invited for a tenure-track or tenured Mechanical Engineering faculty position at any rank. In addition to regular faculty positions, we are considering candidates for endowed chairs and professorships, Canada Research Chairs, and NSERC Industrial Research Chair programs. Candidates must have the ability to conduct both independent and cooperative research, develop viable and productive research programs and to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering. The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant, multi-disciplinary community of researchers on the University of Alberta campus.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or expect to receive one shortly before taking up their appointment. The successful candidate is expected to become a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta. Applications in the broad areas of thermo-fluids, solid mechanics, and engineering management will be considered. Special attention will be given to applicants with research and teaching focus in manufacturing, industrial engineering, dynamics and control and building science. The ability and interest in teaching practical mechanical engineering design would be an asset for all applicants.
