Open Rank - Tenure/Tenure Track - High Technology Materials

The Center for High Technology Materials (CHTM) at The University of New Mexico (UNM), is pleased to invite nominations and applications two (2) tenure/tenure-track positions within the general research areas related to Classical, Quantum and Computational Imaging. The successful hires will concurrently hold a tenure/tenure-track appointment in a department in the School of Engineering or College of Arts and Sciences.


Qualifications

Earned doctorate in an area relevant to engineering and sciences;
Record of scholarly accomplishment to warrant tenure or the tenure-track in an academic department.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in research activity in an university, government laboratory, or industry-environment;
Demonstrated experience in or potential for high research scholarship through national and international reputation in the areas related to classical, quantum and computational imaging;
Experience in or potential for teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in STEM disciplines relevant to their expertise, as well as advisement and mentorship of faculty and scientists, post docs, and or students so as to serve the programs supported by their department of tenure and interdisciplinary programs;
Demonstrated ability to develop a research program that has the potential to capitalize on and enhance the capabilities at UNM;
Experience in or potential for successfully developing inter-disciplinary, multi-institution, multi-investigator research programs;
Articulated vision of educational and research commitment; and
Demonstrated record or potential for effective leadership and collaboration in a variety of professional environments.
