Part-time Professor, Power Engineering Technician / Technology

Developing and delivering a wide variety of courses in the Power Engineering Technician / Technology programs
Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
Evaluating student progress / achievement
Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment

Qualifications

Qualifications
A postsecondary degree in a related field
Certification by Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) with a minimum second class designation
A minimum of three years' experience in the power engineering sector
Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy using the Microsoft Office Suite and software related to the Power Engineering field
Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
Understanding of web delivery software (such as Blackboard) and student information systems is an asset
