Dean, Canadian Food And Wine Institute

Reporting to the Vice President, Academic, the Executive Director/Dean, CFWI will lead a team of dedicated faculty and staff to continue and accelerate the growth of the Institute as a world leader in wine, beer and culinary education. He/she will be responsible for enhancing and expanding the network of industry affiliates who support
and partner with the CFWI, building a national and international reputation for excellence, planning and executing outstanding programs, motivating faculty and staff to reach their optimum performance and enhancing the learning environment for traditional post-secondary students as well industry based learners. The Executive Director/Dean is a member of the senior team of the college and is responsible for all operational aspects of the CFWI including business plans and fiscal budgets. He/she will provide oversight to the various CFWI business entities as well as the overall outreach and marketing presence of the CFWI.

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you will have senior level experience in the culinary, beer or wine sectors with significant experience in corporate business management and proven ability to promote a branded product. You will possess relevant academic qualifications and an ability to develop relationships and connections with a variety of academic institutions around the world. You are connected to a network of industry colleagues, have knowledge of current industry trends and practices and proven skills in developing industry partnerships. You have a passion for the culinary, beer and wine industries with a dynamic and engaging personality and sincere interest in student learning. You are an outstanding leader who is collaborative, entrepreneurial, forward thinking, energetic and visionary.
