Chair Of The Department Of Engineering

Playing a lead role in the design and development of a world-class engineering program is a rare opportunity. The University of Prince Edward Island is seeking, subject to budgetary approval, a proven leader to take on this challenge in a role that fuses industry and academia in a new – and excitingly relevant – way. For more than 50 years, UPEI has delivered a successful engineering diploma program. However, we are eager to increase our contributions at home and around the globe by implementing a unique industry-focused, entrepreneurial engineering degree.

Qualifications

We are seeking a leader with a PhD in Engineering, highly successful industry experience, demonstrated project management expertise, strong interpersonal and communications skills, and an established program of research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in one of the three focus areas: mechatronics, bioresources or sustainable energy engineering.
