QualificationsWe are currently seeking a Professor of Physical Chemistry to lead teaching and research in physical chemistry in the area of spectroscopy, electrochemistry, or polymer chemistry in the context of the development or evaluation of advanced materials for nanotechnology or other industry applications. This position will be responsible for academic leadership and multi-disciplinary teaching and research activities within the School specifically as well as in other areas of the University in activities related to physical chemistry.
The successful candidate will maintain and advance their scholarly, research and professional capabilities in physical chemistry and this role will be highly industry relevant through the establishment of industry partnerships and professional linkages.
To ensure your success you will have proven ability to work collaboratively and collegially with academics and senior management within the School and beyond to lead in the area of physical chemistry and their application to important research questions which will involve collaboration with other RMIT Schools and research Institutes. You will also be competent in leading and supervising research projects, conducting externally funded industry-relevant research and making an outstanding contribution to leadership in scholarly research and the professional activities of the School.
